Although many of us love to travel we are often at the mercy of airlines, borders, road networks and the weather. The list of reasons why we might have a delay on a journey seems endless but whatever the reason if you have a pet sitter looking after your pets it’s an added worry.

We have personal experience of the amount of stress a long delay can cause when our flight from Mexico was cancelled and rescheduled for 24 hours later. Not only did we need to extend our doggy care we also had the airport parking, work and a whole host of things to sort out thousands of miles from home and in a different time zone.

So, what can you do to alleviate some of that worry should delays occur?

Here’s our approach

We always ask where you are travelling to and if it’s out of the U.K. we will ask for flight /ferry/cruise information. This is so when you are travelling we can track your journey home and make plans accordingly if you are delayed.
When you are thousands of feet in the air or in the middle of an ocean it’s not always easy to let us know about delays and problems.
When planning your sit we will also, wherever possible, leave a day free each side of your sit and discuss with you options for if your delay is longer.
We discuss with you any additional charges and of course if you prefer we hand over the care of your pets to family or friends under your instruction.
We come prepared so your furry family members are not stressed by too many changes if your journey home is delayed.
